Water Parks & Splash Pads Near Davis & Woodland, CA

Published: June 3, 2026Last updated: June 3, 2026

When a Davis afternoon hits triple digits, water is the only plan that works. The good news: between Davis and Woodland (about 15 minutes up Highway 113) you have everything from a free downtown splash pad to a full-on floating obstacle course. Here are six spots our families rely on all summer—sorted from free-and-close to worth-the-drive, with 2026 hours, fees, and the age each one fits best.

1) Natalie's Corner Splash Pad at Central Park (Davis)

Davis's first free interactive splash pad sits right in the heart of downtown. Ground-level spray jets and gentle dump buckets keep toddlers and big kids happy, while shade structures, lawn, and picnic tables give parents somewhere to land. On Wednesdays and Saturdays you can pair it with the Davis Farmers Market a few steps away.

Why we love it: Free, central, no swimsuit drama, and the easiest midday move in town.

Good to know: Free, no admission. Runs daily through the warm months (roughly 10am–7pm). No lifeguard—it's a spray feature, not a pool—so stay within reach of little ones.

Best for: Ages 1–10

Address: B Street & 5th Street, Davis, CA 95616

2) Manor Pool (Davis)

If you want one place that does it all, this is it. Manor is the only City of Davis pool with a splash pad and a water slide and diving boards—plus a “zero-entry” pool that slopes gently from the deck into the water, which is a gift if you're wrangling a non-swimmer. It opens for weekends before Arroyo, so it's your earliest in-city option each summer.

Why we love it: Splash pad, slide, and a zero-entry pool in one fence—covers every age in a single trip.

Good to know: 2026 rec swim: weekends 1–6pm starting May 30, then daily 1–5pm from June 15 through Aug 23 (plus Mon/Wed evening swim 7:15–9pm from June 22). Entry is $7 for ages 3+, free under 3; Family Fun Night is $5. A season pass is $84, or grab a 5-visit ($35) / 10-visit ($70) punch pass. Card only—no cash. Water slide riders must be 48″ tall.

Best for: All ages (toddlers to teens)

Address: 1525 Tulip Lane, Davis, CA 95616

3) Arroyo Pool (Davis)

Arroyo is the West Davis sister to Manor: a water slide for the thrill-seekers and a recreation pool with a mushroom fountain for the littles who aren't ready for the big stuff. Both pools are heated to around 80°F, so even an evening swim stays comfortable.

Why we love it: West-side convenience, a real water slide, and a gentle fountain pool for the under-5 crowd.

Good to know: 2026 rec swim runs June 15–Aug 16: weekdays 1–5pm, weekends 1–6pm, plus Tue/Thu evening swim 7:15–9pm from June 22. Same fees as Manor ($7 for ages 3+, free under 3; passes valid at both pools). Slide riders must be 48″ tall.

Best for: Ages 3–12 (slide riders 48″+)

Address: 2000 Shasta Drive, Davis, CA 95616

4) Jack Slaven Park Splash Pad (Woodland)

Woodland's neighborhood answer to Natalie's Corner. The splash pad sits right beside a playground, with a big covered seating area in between—so you can watch the water and the climbing structure from one shady bench. Free, low-key, and an easy 15-minute hop from Davis when you want a change of scenery.

Why we love it: Free splash pad plus a playground, with covered seating dead-center for easy supervision.

Good to know: Free. Seasonal splash feature (warm months). Restrooms and picnic areas on site. No lifeguard—it's a spray pad, not a pool.

Best for: Ages 1–10

Address: 1701 Camacho Way, Woodland, CA 95776

5) Charles Brooks Community Swim Center (Woodland)

Woodland's big public pool, with a low and a high diving board for kids working up their nerve. Open swim is free, which makes it one of the better-value water afternoons in the area—worth the short drive when you want a real pool day without the Davis crowd.

Why we love it: Free open swim and two diving boards—rare value for a full pool.

Good to know: Open swim is free; hours shift by season, so call ahead at (530) 661-2020 to confirm before you load the car. Picnic areas and restrooms on site.

Best for: Ages 5+ (confident in the water)

Address: 155 N West Street, Woodland, CA 95695

6) Velocity Island Park (Woodland)

The closest thing to a real water park near Davis. Velocity is built around a lake with Yolo County's largest floating obstacle course (the “Aqua Park”), a swim beach, and cable wakeboarding for older kids and teens. This is the destination option—the one to save for a birthday or a “let's do something big” day.

Why we love it: A genuine floating obstacle course and cable wakeboarding—the only place around here that feels like a real water park.

Good to know: Open weekends from spring, then daily (except Tuesdays) once summer hours start in early June. Aqua Park runs in timed ~50-minute sessions with a life vest included, and booking online ahead of time is strongly recommended. There's a height/age minimum for the Aqua Park, so check the site before you go. Birthday packages start around $299.

Best for: Ages 7+ and teens (confident swimmers)

Address: 755 N East Street, Woodland, CA 95776

Tips for a Davis-Area Water Day

  • Free first, paid when you want more: The splash pads (Natalie's Corner, Jack Slaven) cost nothing and need no plan. Save the pools and Velocity for when you want a slide, a diving board, or a full day out.
  • Cards only at City of Davis pools: Manor and Arroyo are cashless—bring a card, or a season/punch pass if you'll go more than a handful of times.
  • Mind the 48″ rule: Water slide riders at Manor and Arroyo must be 48 inches tall, no exceptions. Measure your kid at home to avoid heartbreak at the ladder.
  • Book Velocity ahead: Aqua Park sessions sell out on hot weekends—reserve online before you drive over.
  • Check before you go: Pools close for thunder, lightning, or temps below 70°F. The City of Davis recreational swimming page posts current hours and closures.
